Mr. Caserta, founder and former President of IFS International has 18 years
of experience building leading edge systems, worldwide sales/distribution channels
and service organizations. Mr. Caserta has comprehensive experience as an entrepreneur.
From scratch to IPO in 1998, Mr. Caserta successfully built a profitable business
in the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) market for debit/credit/smart-card authorization
and E-Commerce. As president of IFS, he managed well over 100 employees, with
his primary responsibilities being sales, marketing and strategic business planning.
He also was directly responsible for finance/accounting, human resource, MIS,
legal affairs, SEC compliance, capital acquisition, and administration.
Early on in IFS's history Mr. Caserta acquired Convey Companies, Inc. of Dayton,
Ohio, a market leader and IFS' main competitor in the ATM software market. He
repositioned the company from a pure systems provider to a total solution and
integration service provider to small and medium size banks throughout the United
States. IFS's success may be largely attributed to Mr. Caserta's vision to pioneer
state-of-the-art "Open Systems" technologies for EFT Management Systems. IFS
was the first in its industry to develop and install a real time Electronic
Funds Transfer System in 1986 designed for the UNIX operating system and utilizing
an open RDBMS. He built an extensive domestic sales/marketing team with offices
in New York, Dayton, Ohio and Atlanta, Georgia.
Mr. Caserta's greatest strength lies in his marketing/sales talents. Among the many
marketing/sales achievements he spearheaded the company into the international markets and
opened offices in London and Singapore as well as hired sales personnel and secured a distribution
network that includes Visa, MasterCard, IBM, Compaq, Prime Systems, Citibank and others.
Leveraging his extensive network, Mr. Caserta captured a chip "smart" card opportunity with
VISA International. He developed the strategic central "host" system for the launch of VISA-Cash.
This resulted in a multi-million dollar licenses and services agreements. The seven initial systems
licensed were utilized by VISA International in various countries to support VISA-Cash implementations
for some of the largest banks in the world including Citibank, Sumitomo Credit, Daiei OMC, Nippon
Shinpan, Barclays, NationsBank, Bank of America, Lloyds Bank, Berliner Bank, Abbey National and others.
