Drew Thorn is the author of The Pinnacle Club and The Oligarch and is currently working on the third book in the Sandy Powell trilogy The Vineyard. With a professional writing career spanning nearly 40 years, Drew’s early work focused on marketing and technical documentation. Notably, he led the MasterCard team—alongside Visa and Europay—that developed the technical specifications for the chip technology now embedded in billions of debit and credit cards worldwide.
Born and raised on a dairy farm in upstate New York near Vermont, Drew graduated from Cornell University. His career has taken him across six continents, logging over a million actual miles on United Airlines alone. He has lived in diverse cities, including Manhattan, Chicago, Palo Alto, and Sydney, Australia, and has visited 49 states—Alaska remains on the bucket list.
Beyond writing, Drew enjoys gardening, woodworking, and cows. Once an avid traveler, he now finds it more of a challenge. Most of all, he takes great pride in his family. His wife, Judy, is a college professor; their son, John, is a commercial truck driver; and their daughter, Lizzy, serves as a Captain in the U.S. Army, currently stationed at Fort Belvoir near Washington, DC.
Today, Drew resides in the Ozarks of Missouri, where he continues to embrace the creative freedom of fiction writing—where imagination knows no limits.

Once a month a sub-group of the Springfield Writers Guild gets together to critique and support each other’s work. These folks have helped me so much over the past years, words are not enough. The following friends are published as authors and playwrights. I love all of their books. I encourage you to check out their novels.
